Herbicide offers 3 powerful active ingredients in 1 jug

More than one dozen 2021 on-farm trials from Texas to Montana to North Dakota are testing the efficacy of Rezuvant herbicide with Arylex® active against a broad range of grasses and broadleaf weeds.

Results to date reinforce the ability of the product to control several problem weeds, including kochia, marestail, green foxtail, wild buckwheat and Italian ryegrass.

“With three active ingredients, Rezuvant is better and stronger than competing products, such as Axial Star herbicide,” says Chad Brusseau, Corteva Agriscience territory manager in North Dakota.

Brusseau points out the application and rotational flexibility Rezuvant provides wheat and barley growers. Rezuvant can be applied from the two-leaf growth stage until flag leaf emergence, allowing for crop rotation to most major crops the following growing season.

Rezuvant also targets Group 2-resistant biotypes. The combination of Group 1 and Group 4 chemistries with a graminicide provides exceptional control of more than 30 grass and broadleaf weeds

For best results, Rezuvant should be applied when susceptible broadleaf weed seedlings are actively growing and shorter than 4 inches tall.

In central Oklahoma, a March 11 tank mix containing Rezuvant herbicide at a rate of 16.4 ounces per acre, plus a nonionic surfactant, successfully targeted heavy populations of Italian ryegrass. “Rezuvant worked as well, or better than, Axial Bold, with the added convenience of a premix,” says Rhonda Franklin, Corteva Agriscience territory manager in Oklahoma.
