Forage Response

White Clover Response After Application

Although white clover is preserved by ProClova™, some leaf yellowing and lodging does occur after application. These effects last two-three weeks, with white clover fully recovering around four weeks after application. In highly competitive grass stands, these effects may last longer and may be more severe, reducing white clover cover. Best practices to minimize these short-term effects are:

•    Grazing Stands Prior to Application to Reduce Herbicide Contact with White Clover

•    Moderate Grazing After Application to Reduce Grass Competitiveness

•    Haying Swards 2-3 Weeks After Application

•    Avoid Nitrogen Fertilization Prior to Application

Improved white clover varieties that are bred for yield and vigor are generally more tolerant to applications than common, low
