Farmers Planting Pioneer® Brand Sorghum Products Win 7 National, 46 State Titles

JOHNSTON, IA — Farmers planting Pioneer® brand sorghum hybrids won seven of nine first-place finishes and placed in 21 of the 24 national categories in the 2018 National Sorghum Producers (NSP) Yield and Management Contest, representing 88 percent of all national winners.

In addition, farmers planting Pioneer brand sorghum won 46 of 56 state titles, representing 82 percent of the state category winners. Growers who planted Pioneer brand sorghum represented 77 percent of all state categories.

First-, second- and third-place national honors were awarded in each of nine categories: dryland-no till east, dryland-no till west, dryland-tillage east, dryland-tillage west, food grade, irrigated-no till east, irrigated-no till west, irrigated-tillage east and irrigated-tillage west.
