Partners in Excellence Award recognizes companies enhancing utility arboriculture, right-of-way management

INDIANAPOLIS — Corteva Agriscience has been honored by the Utility Arborist Association (UAA) as a recipient of the 2020 Partners in Excellence (PinE) Award. Presented to companies that go above and beyond to support UAA and its mission, the award recognizes members, sponsors and volunteers committed to the enhancement of utility arboriculture and right-of-way management.

“Corteva Agriscience has been very instrumental in the development of the Rights-of-Way Sustainability Summit,” said Phillip Charlton, Executive Director of the UAA. “The company also plays an instrumental role as a committee leader for the International Symposium for Environmental Concerns in Rights-of-Way Management.”

To support its goal of enhancing biodiversity on nearly 25 million acres of global grazing lands and natural ecosystems by 2030, Corteva dedicates resources to help industry professionals learn about sustainable management practices and strategies supporting habitat conservation.

“As an organization committed to the development of optimum vegetation management strategies, we understand the critical role rights-of-way can play in developing and preserving biodiverse ecosystems,” said Damon Palmer, Business Leader, Pasture & Land Management, Corteva Agriscience. “We are honored to receive the Partners in Excellence Award and look forward to enhancing right-of-way safety and environmental stewardship through our ongoing collaboration with the UAA.”

Working with like-minded organizations allows Corteva to influence the development of industry standards and underscore best practices for the effective care of natural resources. Its alliance with the UAA makes achieving excellence in the utility vegetation management industry more attainable than ever before.

“We want to be the resource of choice for our members when it comes to improving utility and vegetation management,” said Paul Hurysz, President of the UAA. “We take this very seriously, and our contributors can’t be thanked enough.”
