Tech Centers Featuring the Enlist™ Technology Educate and Invigorate Retailers, Farmers

Farmers interested in adopting the Enlist weed control system have been absorbing information and gaining confidence in the technology at this summer’s tech centers. These regional field tours help farmers learn about weed management practices and application methods to get effective performance. Attendees learn how Enlist is different from other trait herbicide systems, including advantages over in-crop dicamba. They come away knowing how to get the greatest value from Enlist technology.

Presenters take groups of growers, applicators and retailers through technology plots for the Enlist weed control system as we continue to inform and educate.

Plots feature Enlist crops, Enlist herbicides and various herbicide programs to show which combinations are most effective against a variety of weed challenges.

A drone image shows a demonstration area where visitors observe the differences between applications of Enlist One® herbicide and in-crop dicamba near susceptible crops.

This section educates attendees about the need to match herbicides with crops possessing that herbicide trait. Growers who plant Enlist E3® soybeans can’t use dicamba herbicides; likewise, growers who plant dicamba-tolerant soybeans can’t apply Enlist herbicides.

Corteva Agriscience knows knowledge is power. That’s why we empower retailers, farmers and the industry as a whole through education.

A great example is the tech centers for the Enlist™ weed control system. These regional sites offer firsthand looks at the Enlist system and Enlist herbicides. They educate retailers, applicators and farmers on best practices to get the greatest value from this one-of-a-kind weed control technology. Visitors see how applications of various herbicides impact the crop and difficult weeds.

Since Enlist began demonstrations in the early 2010s, many thousands of farmers and retailers have toured the fields, heard from Enlist experts and learned how to adopt and steward Enlist technology.

“Part of the Enlist Ahead resources, tech centers have been a key component of the Enlist system since Day 1,” says Shawna Hubbard, trait herbicide product manager for Corteva. “We want people to be successful with Enlist crops and herbicides. The tech centers are one way we continue to inform farmers and retailers so they can get more from their weed control efforts.”

Farmers and retailers have been touring the five active tech centers this year following social distancing practices. Retailers have learned to better help their customers adopt and thrive with Enlist products. Farmers also have absorbed the finer points of the system, becoming more confident in using the Enlist weed control system.
