Video: A Closer Look at Nutrient Maximizers

Nutrient Maximizers Product Marketing Leader Justin Dikeman offers insights on the new portfolio.

Corteva Agriscience launched the Nutrient Maximizers portfolio earlier this year and, because it’s still new, you may have some questions about what exactly this launch means for corn farmers like you. In the video above, Justin Dikeman, the U.S. Portfolio Marketing Leader for Nutrient Maximizers, walks through the announcement in more detail.

“The Nutrient Maximizers portfolio is an offering from Corteva that brings together some of the best-trusted products in the nitrogen management space with some new offerings as well,” Dikeman says. “So when we look at nitrogen, we know it’s one of the biggest investments that a farmer makes in terms of inputs on their farm. So protecting that investment and making sure that nitrogen is there when the corn plant needs it — and where it needs it — is a huge part of what the portfolio is all about.”

The new portfolio offers three stabilization solutions, all of which can be used with fall, spring or sidedress applications:

  • N-Serve® nitrogen stabilizer, which is powered by Optinyte® technology and is the product farmers have relied on for nearly 50 years for proven protection of anhydrous ammonia from nitrogen loss below ground caused by leaching and denitrification.
  • Instinct NXTGEN® nitrogen stabilizer, which, like N-Serve, is powered by Optinyte technology and provides unrivaled protection of urea, UAN and liquid manure from nitrogen loss below ground caused by leaching and denitrification.
  • PinnitMax® TG nitrogen stabilizer, which maximizes nitrogen above ground, preventing volatilization of urea and UAN applications. PinnitMax TG will be widely available in 2023.

In addition to a suite of comprehensive nitrogen stabilizers, the portfolio also includes a biological solution: Utrisha N nutrient efficiency optimizer is a biostimulant that provides crops like corn with an alternative, sustainable nitrogen source. The active ingredient in Utrisha N is a bacterium that pulls nitrogen from the air into plants for them to use to enhance growth and optimize yield potential.

As part of the Nutrient Maximizers launch, Corteva also has created a team of nitrogen management experts.

“That team is just as exciting a part of this portfolio launch,” Dikeman says. “Corteva has been a leader in the nitrogen management space for decades. We continue to innovate, and the team that we’re adding is a reflection of that, helping ensure our customers have continued support and access to leading experts in this category.”

The Nutrient Maximizers sales team is a dedicated support team for the industry-leading, innovative and sustainable nitrogen management solutions from Corteva. These technical experts have a background in, and passion for, nutrient management. The team includes 10 experts — five in the eastern Corn Belt and five in the western Corn Belt — who are well-prepared to provide insights and recommendations that are customized by geographical needs in collaboration with current in-market teams.

This combination of services and products enables farmers to maximize their nitrogen investments. After you’ve watched the video, be sure to visit NutrientMaximizers.com to learn more about the resources that are now available to help you get the most out of every acre.
