Opportunities for Under Represented Groups

Corteva invites students from historically marginalized communities to apply for the DELTA Symposium.

This program is part of our effort to provide equitable growth and development opportunities and drive Corteva’s Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (ID&E) vision of nurturing a strong, diverse talent pipeline.

Selected candidates will have the opportunity to attend the symposium which will include:

  • An overview of careers in Corteva R&D including our biotechnology, seed product development, crop protection, regulatory & stewardship, and farming solutions & digital groups.
  • Exclusive tours of Corteva’s state-of-the-art research facilities.
  • Networking opportunities with Corteva R&D leadership and scientists.
  • An opportunity for participants to present their research and interview with Corteva scientists, which may lead to future engagements including internships, mentorships, site visits to other Corteva locations, and employment*.
  • Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or be eligible to work in the US*
  • Be currently enrolled in a US-accredited program as an undergraduate or graduate student (Master’s or doctoral). Post-docs within two years of completing their dissertation are also eligible to apply.
  • Demonstrate strong academic excellence with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • All applicants will be required to submit a reference letter & personal statement.

When Should I apply for DELTA?

Thank you for your interest in the DELTA program.  The application period for Fall 2023 is currently closed.  If you are interested in applying for our next Symposium in 2024, please complete the form, and we will reach out to you when the application is open.

Where does the symposium take place?

The symposium typically takes place at our global headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana or at our Global Business Center in Johnston, Iowa.

What is the scope of the program?

The multi-day program offers highly talented STEM students and postdocs who are interested in a career in industry the opportunity to learn about Corteva R&D, network with leadership and scientists, share their research through short talks or poster sessions, gain valuable soft skills, and take part in interviews that may lead to mentorships, internships, or full-time employment. The program aims to provide participants with an understanding of the diverse array of career options available to them in agriculture while highlighting Corteva as an employer of choice.

What happens at the end of the program?

By the end of the program, we hope participants leave with a great experience, new and valuable connections, a good understanding of Corteva R&D, and the impression of Corteva as an employer of choice. Some participants will leave with offers of mentorships, internships, or full-time employment. 

Participation in the DELTA symposium is NOT a guarantee of these offers, however, we encourage all participants to visit our careers website and apply for open positions that best fit their skills and expertise.

Who should apply for DELTA?

Ideal participants should have an interest in pursuing a career in industry, but prior experience in agriculture is not required.

Previous DELTA participants and previous/current Corteva interns are not eligible to apply for the DELTA symposium.
